Photographing

Dimming The Lights
To properly show off your design, you'll want to turn out the lights. If you want to see the outside of the pumpkin surface as well, illuminate it with an indirect light like a dim lamp or candles. Photographing outside at dusk also makes for a great setting.

Turning Off The Flash
Taking a picture with the camera flash will over-light the surface of the pumpkin and you won't be able to see the glow from inside. So turn off the flash and place your camera on something steady so the photo won't be blurry. A tripod is best for a professional look.

Shooting Digital
A digital camera will allow you to try different settings, take numerous shots, and see the outcome instantly. To get different results in low light, try changing your aperture, exposure time, and ISO settings.
