I have carved over 50 foam pumpkins over that last 3 years and have used the PM fake pumpkin saw. Never had a problem with breakage ~~~ I guess its "to each its own"

If those Myth Busters guys ask -- Can you make a Leaf Bale -- the answer is YES. Thanks to Chewy and mechanik63 for the sparks that put me on track The combination of gillnet and mesh brought me to Chicken Wire and Chicken Wire is PERFECT for baling leaves. http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t24/mik...

Wanted to share some custom logo pumpkins that I recently carved. I belong to a committee that organizes the 2nd best St. Patrick's Parade in New York State (the NYC Parade is and will always be tops). What makes the Rockville Centre St. Patrick's Parade special is that we are the only Parade in the...
Carve #7 Leprechaun on the groovy green pumpkin! This one was really hard to do and I almost scraped all the way through the 'kin on part. It was way, way more soft than I thought it was going to be. I had to fudge parts of the pattern that didn't transfer very well. http://i16.photobucket.com/albu...
I pretty much live in the middle of nowhere. My house can't be seen from the road, I don't live in a neighborhood and I'm surrounded by the woods...... Besides that, I am never home on Halloween night. With a setup like that you must carve http://www.zombiepumpkins.com/images/sample-jasonunm...

I almost didn't post this one because I did such a bad job on it. The pumpkin I had was very tough, deeply lined and really thick. The deep lines really got me, hard to transfer the pattern and carve. If I had a larger supply of pumpkins I would have tossed this one and just started over. http://ds...
My kids have been bugging me to carve Chucky -- so for 2011 I did They are 12, 10 and 3 and have never seen 1 Child's Play movie but for some reason Chucky is the one thing that scares all three of them --- I didn't like any of the movies and I am sure once they see them they will be disappointed bu...
Mike, I don't have a decorating idea, but those leaves are a great asset for you or anyone else who gardens. Run over them w/ a mower-that will reduce the volume a bunch. It doesn't even have to be a mulching mower. Once they're shredded, you can use them for mulch, dig them into a garden, or let t...
Your killing me Smalls! I check every morning for a VIP pattern. lol Nothing yet... but the day is young. A CLASSIC Porter: Hey, Smalls, you wanna s'more? Smalls: Some more of what? Porter: No, do you wanna s'more? Smalls: I haven't had anything yet, so how can I have some more of nothing? P...
I need some ideas/help with my freaking leaves --- I have 2 HUGE trees that dump enough leaves that fill over 30 large sized garbage bags each year --- it takes a crazy amount of time to get rid of them. One idea that popped into my head was find away to create a Leaf Bale --- I have used Hay Bales ...
Looks awesome, did you have to shrink them down or did they all fit regular size? Where do you cut the hole to put in the light on these sideways pumpkins? I always love these triple pattern pumpkins I may try one this year. Thanks ---- Yes -- I was able to shrink them down and fit them on a page t...
