Are you freaking kidding me!? Man, that is stunning. I can't imagine how much work went into that. Are they all real pumpkins?

Great work! I'm digging the star design you carved out on the top of the pumpkins. I've never seen that before.

So, I couldn't wait to carve my first pumpkin with all of my new fancy tools. I used Saral paper and the ZP pro carving kit along with some poker tools, a pumpkin gutter, and modified xacto/scroll saw tool. It went very well and ZP pro carver went through the pumpkin like butter. It's soaking in ble...

Purple...it's not particularly hard. I used a simple jack o lantern face to keep with tradition. The difficult part is hollowing out the turnip and working with something about the size of a baseball. I really like how they look...the purple and white just look creepier.

So I decided to do it. I carved a turnip. I found the largest turnip I could find after searching two stores. I saw a clip on YouTube about how to carve a turnip and followed the pattern. The turnip was too small to slap a ZP stencil on, so I went with a standard jack face. Overall, it wasn't as dif...

I purchased 20 of them based on this review. I like that they included extra batteries with my order. Shipping was steep though. I bought the warm whites, but I wish I'd bought yellow or orange. Nothing a little cellophane can't fix.

Very nice. I especially love the texture on the white pumpkin.

I checked out a couple of YouTube videos. Seems like the spoon method is the most authentic way to do it. The only trouble I think I'll have is finding a turnip large enough...those things are massive! It's cool that you can make a handle and carry them around.

This makes me want to try carving a turnip. Does ZP have any turnip patterns? :D

You can do it, but you should give the parents and kids fair warning so they don't get upset with you. I'm going to answer the door in this mask: http://i.imgur.com/YfWSuxa.png My house will have strobe lights, zombies, music, and a sign at the beginning of the walkway. I almost included one of those in my list of carves for the year (I was going to carve the zombie hand in front of the tombstone) but I was worried it wouldn't last very long. Thanks for taking one for the team!

Thanks for the advice. Maybe I can soak them overnight in a bathtub (if the wife doesn't send me to the insane asylum first) for a couple of nights during the week. I knew we should have bought a kiddie pool over the summer.
