Hi All, Well, so much for finding lots of time to work on pumpkins, instead a whole bunch of work related stuff got in the way.... So, first try with Stick'n Carve went very well, certainly saves time from using Saral transfer paper, which is a good sign. Only comment that I have to make with using ...

I have to *bump* this one up the list. I'm not sure how popular/known the Gruffalo is in the USA, but here in the UK AFAIK it's part of their education ;-) In numerous woodlands near to our home there are wood carvings of the characters from the Gruffalo series, and the books that Julia Donaldson ha...

Well, plans are truely scuppered, as I think I now need to start my flight to Oz 23rd maybe 24th October. I just dont think that 10 days before Halloween is going to work for clingfilm, and vaseline...? I'm not sure I can persuade the other half to invest lots of time/effort soaking pumpkins in wate...

Many thanks for the great feedback. I am certainly looking forward to next Halloween already....! (sure I'm not the only one!) Many thanks for all the kind words. @Mesmark, I found that there are a few things that can be done to try and speed up the process of carving the pumpkins, certainly the choice of design can go a long way in reducing the amount of time it takes. But I think that the things that have helped are: Carv...
