Good good. Welcome GingerGrrl23!
Glad to see you on the forums, Tadd, my fellow horror fan. I'd love to create stencils for ALL those requests. Hopefully, some day you'll see them all here.
Agent Smith would be hilarious if you carved, like, 5 of him, and 1 Neo. Ha! I should do half a dozen stencils of Agent Smith, all with slightly different facial expressions. You could carve an army of Smiths. But you'd have to be a big Hugo Weaving fan to spend that many hours cloning him into pum...
I do carve my own stencils. Whose else would I carve? :P I think the first stencil (of my own design) that I carved was "Rob Zombie", which is still available on the Rockstar Gods page. This was several years ago, before there was such a thing as ZombiePumpkins.com. But I suppose this site's title i...
These haunted paper toys are great. Unusual paper toys for you to print out and construct. From undead chess sets, to necronomicon notebooks, to coffin gift boxes (with skeletal occupants). Fun!
Oh, he won alright. Like 1000 bucks or something too. Or maybe that was the grand total of all contests. I guess that kind of money is worth letting your head bleed out for a little while.
Wow, quite a few carvings you got there. Nice work! I guess with a topic like Pokemon, you have a LOT of characters to work with.
Yea, I grew up on the Muppets. They're awesome. You might not see any more Muppet pumpkins this year, but in the future... for sure.
Thanks Adam! I really appreciate the comments. I love hearing stories from Zombie Pumpkin carvers that tell me what a hit their Halloween was, thanks to their unique jack-o-lanterns. Stories like this are what keep me going!
Everyone goes nuts at Christmas. The stores are already pushing aside Halloween products to make way for their Christmas displays. We need more Halloween freaks!
I remember seeing the photos of your Salem trip that you posted on your site. Looks like a great time, with lots of spooky stuff to do there. I definitely have to make the trek to witch country one of these years. It's really not too far from me.
Ok, well I went back the Halloween store ( Spirit , by the way) and directly asked the stilt monster about his creepy leg extensions. Turns out they cost well over $100. So maybe this idea isn't so financially practical. I ended up chatting with this dude for a good 10 or 15 minutes. Cool guy. Turns...
The big maker of artificial pumpkins is Fun-kins . This year their foam pumpkins are only $20 USD (usually $30). They used to be offering many different shapes and sizes, but it looks like they might be down to just one style still available. Hmm, maybe they sold out of the rest. These are pretty mu...
I've never coated the entire inside of the pumpkin. I suppose it increases its life, but doesn't that make reaching inside to light candles a messy experience? And if you use battery/electric lights, they'd get all goopy as well.
In recent years, I've given candy to about 100 kids on Halloween night. But last year I counted over 400! That's quite an increase. I guess it had something to do with the unusually warm weather we had last year. And there's also an elaborate haunted house/yard up the street that draws in the crowds...
