When it rains, it pours. Another article from a more local newspaper... Unfortunately, none of the articles mentioned Zombie Pumpkins or Stoneykins, both of which I mentioned during the interviews.

Sloaner, Yeah, our house is a decent size, but it has a very small front yard. We liked that because at the time we bought it, we didn't want to spend all day mowing a lawn. Love these. You can go in so many directions with Alfred Hitchcock too. I think I have 5 pumpkins or so of Alfred Hitchcock movies.

The Oregonian spent about 2.5 hours interviewing me about my display and about my current carving obsession. At one point during the interview, I showed her the carving tools I used and showed the keyhole saw for sale on Zombie Pumpkins. I also told her about the beginner-friendly patterns available...

I check frequently. But I, um, don't know what to say. I've been carving my butt off getting ready for a big season. Trying new display lights (lasers!) and just honing my carving skills. I've only been doing this for a few years, so I feel like I have tons to learn still.

Here is a glimpse of what I did last year. I had 150 pumpkins. This year will be much more elaborate with way more glow pumpkins, more lights on the outside, more fog, and more lasers.
