I wanted to add that the pumpkins were rotting pretty quick so I had to toss everything into the compost bin (note in Portland Compost and Recycling are weekly and in just as large bins as Garbage). I got all the regular kins in and topped off with that big mama jamma monster pumpkin. Well it only got 1/2 way in so I had to cut it up. With my tree felling ax. I'm not going to lie, deeply satisfying to hack a large pumpkin to bits with an ax. Not sure why, but it was so much fun.
Think I was inspired by the Oregon Zoo Elephant Squishing of the Squash. It felt so good.
