Definately gotta go with alien stuff, to keep things creepy. Moons and stars would be appropriate images too. Here's some ideas:

Alien creature and egg pods
The creature itself is a project too big for most, but I bet you could make some creepy alien egg pods. Try covering balloons with paper mache. Then maybe add some hot glue from a glue gun, or better yet, some expanding foam that would harden and give a cool texture. Pop the balloon once it's dry, and paint it up.

Alien specimen jars

Easy and effective. A cool prop for your table or shelf. The hardest part is probably creating the alien creature to go in the jar. I bet you could find some plastic creatures at a toy store, but making your own with Sculpey clay sounds like a great idea.

Glow alien mask
The classic "grey" with the big black almond eyes... always a creepy image. You could probably find masks like this in stores. Or even cut this basic shape out of paper. Especially good if your alien faces glow. Put some in the bushes or any dark corner of your home. Looking out from windows is cool too, especially lit with blacklight.
